I am submitting three pieces from the body of work I have produced over the lockdown period. Whilst none of them are directly related to the Covid pandemic or lockdown, working on them has certainly helped me keep sane over the last three months!

“Bust of a Young Man” was the first time I have embarked on a life-size naturalistic subject. It was a fascinating process and quite a moving experience for me. I find a fair chunk of my work tends to be sub-consciously semi-autobiographical and as I gradually formed and altered the subject's features it caused me to reflect on my own self-conscious development many years ago as my features changed and I became an adult.
