Faded Love by Edie May Madden

Water colour, £12 a small piece 6cm x 5cm, £15 framed 25cm x 25cm

I did this during lockdown. I experimented by painting in water colour, then washing it down with water and pressing an absorbent paper on top. The result was a faded print of my original painting which I found l liked better.  I have missed seeing my family, mainly grandparents. I thought that the heart being faded and slightly out of reach was a bit like me not hugging them clearly.

I have stuck the original painting to the back of the print. Lockdown has given me even more time to spend in my art shed experimenting, which is how I came up with this.
