Donald MacLellan
I started working for the Evening Standard in the mid nineties and quickly progressed to photographing features and portraits for most of the weekend magazines, including Saturday & Sunday, Times, Independent, Express, Telegraph and Mail.
By the late nineties I was photographing for a number of other magazines including Radio Times, Empire, SHE and Company. I also began to work with leading contract publishers like John Brown and Redwood across various sectors: automative, design, lifestyle & food, retail, engineering and architecture.
My personal professional experience extends to having produced and photographed five exhibitions, three of which were exhibited as solo exhibitions at the National Portrait Gallery, Black Power, 1998, Scottish Actors, 2000 and Black Actors, 2008. They have all gone on to be exhibited widely both in this country and abroad.
My other exhibitions include Pink Portrait, 2010 and My Class @50, 2017 there is more information about these on my website, or on the National Portrait Gallery website.
