Victoria: “Lockdown has meant the restriction of loved activities (post open water swim hot chocolate with a friend depicted here), but has also provided time to pick up lost ones. This portrait is one of the first I have attempted in over 25 years and is in a medium that is new to me. Talking about this challenge has inspired my parents in Yorkshire to take up painting and drawing again too, so I feel some comfort to have been able to enjoy creating and reconnecting through art.”
