This collage summarises my view of the plague thus far. From the left – my professional focus on cities as places for people,pleasure and heritage – I miss London,Brum, even Banbury – but the red line falls and the centre panel ties in both being ‘led by the science’ and the primitive horror of unseen threats. We’re passing through the blue line as I write – the spacing beloved of architectural drawings, the restrictions, the fragmentation of the urban life I love.
