WHAT’S THE POINT OF LOOKING AT ART?
Looking at art, and the reason we are passionate about art at The Heseltine Gallery, is a crucial part of the creative process. Viewing the work of others works on many levels. Even if you still consider yourself a non-artist - exposure to art will broaden and open your mind. Viewing art exposes you to a gamut of techniques, styles, creative ideas and forgotten about memories and emotions. You don’t need to be highly-educated, you don’t need to know art history, you can just look at a creative work and decide for yourself –what does this to me? For creative thinkers viewing art is a great giver – of new ideas, inspiration, motivation, support and encouragement (sometimes even superiority - I can do better than that!).Viewing art is a great self-helper, the more you look at art the more you understand what it means to you, what you think about certain issues, and how to express your own opinions. And the more inspired you are the more you will make art that shows your own artistic style, expresses your own voice (which is when you are on the road to becoming a good artist yourself).

You can create anything you want based on the theme given using any medium and any materials you want to, just be as creative as you can.
