“Throughout time, many different things have influenced art and caused it to change. New inventions, economic states and politics have all affected art themes and styles. Art is always affected by what is happening in society at its creation. Artists reveal their perspectives and insight on events that they bear witness to, with the artist's emotions often apparent in the work they create. In my opinion, the purpose of art is to express and visualise what you are feeling and then, depending on how the viewer feels, they can interpret the piece of art in their own way. The artist's job is to create work that suggests an emotional response, prompting the viewer to think again about the world and start to understand another person's point of view.”
