“Artists have always been inspired by the natural world, recording the world around them and reminding the viewer of its beauty. Whatever the subject matter, art is about expressing yourself in a creative format that goes beyond words. It exists to amuse and serve beauty, to engage with the viewer and to give an insight into alternative viewpoints and ideas. I have attempted to produce a series of successful paintings which allow the viewer to share my feelings about nature and the often overlooked beauty which surrounds us. As viewers we are forced to imagine what each landscape would be like to experience and adventure. When a landscape painting is successful, it can take the viewer’s breath away and give them just as much of an emotional impact which the painter had whilst he was painting.”
