I  started painting again at the start of lockdown having not painted for the best part of the past 10 years. Having the time and space to paint has been immensely rewarding. I have found this time to be a precious time for creating, painting providing a welcome sanctuary from the ongoing anxiety of the global situation. This painting is an expression of a significant part of my own lockdown experience, lying down staring at the blank wall opposite whilst the crisis continues outside.
