Within my project I have had a focus on breaking down the stereotypical boundaries of fashion photography by using abstract and experimental techniques to create my own style of work. I have constantly been looking for new ways to distort and manipulate my images and create work that makes the viewer question the meaning behind it. As my work has progressed, I have become more intrigued by the links between photography and other artistic mediums, such as music. Through portraying musical pieces within my photography, I have been able to construct deeper and more complex meanings in each of my images and have built a stronger connection between me and my project.
Photography has been great for me, as I have been able to present my thoughts and emotions in a way that I would have never been able to do before. I have learnt to be more expressive and experimental in all the processes surrounding photography, whether it be the shoot itself, or the editing/darkroom processes after.
After finishing school at Chenderit, I am aiming to take on a Photography degree at Arts University of Bournemouth, where I hope to continue to tell a story through my images and produce unique work, before stepping in the world of photography on my own.
