Fabric and free motion machine embroidery

Keeley: “I love cats, but unfortunately I don't own one. Luckily a lot of my friends do, so I'm always asking to see pictures of them. This artwork portrays my friends cat. I was fascinated by her eyes and I decided to capture them in textiles. Created on black cotton fabric, the white cheeks, pink nose and yellow eyes are appliquéd fabric. The whole piece is then stitched with free motion machine embroidery, using various colours of thread.”
